![]() ![]() For first impressions, this keyboard should incite envy from your fellow. TL:DR - The below is a small guide for DPI settings in the Logi Options+ ( Plus ) software for Logitech MX Master 3 (not S). Logitech's first generation of diNovo models underwent some minor facelifts. Might apply for other mice using that software that are capped at 4000DPI max. I have a Logitech G Pro and an MX Master 3 from recently. I also use 800dpi and from rough measurement. The "Pointer speed" in my logitech options+ software needs to be set at about 45% to be just about 800dpi. Seems that 50% is 1000DPI as the default and then it scales based on that, so it definitely isn't linear dpi-wise, but it increases/decreases exponentially. Once I toggle it back to use the G Hub software, the problem comes back. If I go into G-Hub and switch the faulty mouse to use 'On-board' profiles, the issue goes away. (Note, after further testing, 800DPI is 43%)Ī very quick calculation shows that every 5% of Pointer Speed in the software equates to 14.86984% (brute-forced number, roughly) more/less DPI than the previous speed and the middle point is 1000dpi/50pointer speed. If I take my GPro and plug it into another computer (that doesnt have G Hub installed), it works as it should: no mouse acceleration. After a bit of further testing, every percentage of Pointer Speed is about 2.8121% faster/slower than its previous percentage. So if you take 1000 and then start multiplying it by 1.1486984 or 0.8513016, you get the 5% increments in the Logi Options+ software. SetPoint lets you customize your mouse, keyboard, touchpad and number pad settings in Windows. Please note that there is most probably a fairly easy function that can be calculated for this but I am not smart enough to figure that out.īelow are the DPI values in 5% increments. If you'd like a more precise DPI setting, get the closest setting from below, if yours is higher than the closest, add 2.8121% to the DPI number and if it is still higher, add another 2.8121% to the new DPI number that you got and so on. If its lower than the closest setting from below, just subtract 2.8121% instead of add. Please note that DPI differences of less than 50 are very hard/impossible to notice. I have a logitech MX Master 3S and im just posting this in multiple places because i think this logitech mouse line REQUIRING SOFTWARE on each PC is garbage and misleading. It requires software installed on every machine! TLDR: you CANNOT SAVE DPI SETTINGS TO A LOGITECH MX MASTER 3S MOUSE (and similar). Sure, ill barely accept that you can change the DPI in software once and that this mouse shockingly lacks dpi changing buttons BUT as far as i can tell you're required to do this mouse DPI change in the logitech software on every single machine as the settings DONT SAVE TO THE MOUSE like their gaming line of mice and GHUB software. This is my first ever ATI card.Logi Options+ software is a pile of garbage and this mouse being $100+ requiring software is a disaster. I'm not sure why the video card would affect my mouse sensitivity (although I know desktop resolution amplifies or attenuates in-game mouse sensitivity), but nothing else I know of has changed. Very few games seem to support individual sensitivty controls for mouse axes, so this is a big problem. I can easily remedy this in-game with the control settings, but in the 2d menus of the games, it's pretty frustrating to use.Įven worse, it seems my horizontal mouse resolution is relatively much higher than my vertical mouse resolution. Now in games (mainly just tried COD4 and BF2 so far), my mouse sensitivity is much higher, maybe 50% higher. I ignored the CD that came with the 5770 (a powercolor), and downloaded and installed Catalyst 10.4 from ati's website. I ran DriverSweeper to get rid of the nVidia display drivers (having fallen back to a 7600GT until the new card arrived) before I removed the old card and inserted the new one. Hi all, I recently bought the Logitech G9X and with it came a application called Logitech Setpoint. As for lag in the two fingers scrolling you have, its an hardware flaw, that just means that the. And on Wheel tab, put 1 to both horizontal and vertical scrolling, this should fix your K400 touchpad for scroll speed. My GeForce 8800GT died, so I've just replaced it with a Radeon HD 5770. In there you can go to the Pointer Option tab then uncheck ' Enhance pointer precision ', thats the mouse acceleration. ![]()
